HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME

I’m extremely happy and excited to share that I am celebrating 10 years of being a massage therapist this month, February! This is a serious milestone for me. I was one of those late bloomers, lost in my 20s, trying to figure out who I was and what I wanted to do. I’m looking forward to continuing this awesome learning journey. There is still so much to absorb in Myofascial Release (MFR) and Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) classes. I’m also embracing the nuances of being a small business owner.

GOODBYE ALEXANDRIA

My year long non-compete clause with The Teal Center has ended and it’s time to come back home to Arlington, VA. The new office has the same super easy and free parking. This time it’s in the rear of the building. The room is more spacious and it’s part of a shared suite so we will have an adjoining waiting area! Hooray! Simply Therapeutic will be up and running at 2300 N. Pershing Dr. Suite 201, Room 6 on March 1st, 2017.

STRENGTH TRAINING

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’d like to share that love is abound here at the heart of Simply Therapeutic. My daughter will be turning 9 in March and things are going great with the boyfriend who is also one of my trusted referrals for personal training! (FULL DISCLOSURE! Clark Sharp manages a great staff at Fitness Together in Old Town Alexandria, which will still be super close to my office.) I will continue to refer clients to them because I see the best results from clients who receive MFR and NMT and strengthen with weights with trainers who are sticklers for correct form. It is an incredibly effective combination for health and wellness.

MOVE

As always, I encourage you to find your joy in movement. This may be in the form of a dance class, personal training session, walking the dog, going to a trampoline park with your kids, running on trails, going to barre class, a home yoga practice, simply stretching or foam rolling. It’s anything and everything, including the very important practice of micro-movements while at work when you have to stay in the same position for long periods of time. Tilt your pelvis, shrug your shoulders, relax your jaw, rotate your wrists, etc. Do this throughout your day and notice the difference in how you feel. Fidget with intention. Just keep moving! THE BODY LOVES MOVEMENT!

45 min- $90

60 min-$110

90 min-$150
