Jenny was born and raised in New Jersey by Filipino parents. She came to the DC area to attend the George Washington University. After graduating in 2000 with a BA in Psychology, she began studies in the fields of art therapy, early childhood education, and nursing before dedicating herself to lifelong learning as a massage therapist.
Massage therapy has been Jenny’s professional passion for over 11 years. She has helped many clients experiencing a variety of issues such as specific pain, chronic pain, limitations in movement, and emotional/mental stress. Jenny utilizes an individually tailored combination of assessment tools and techniques from Precision Neuromuscular Therapy , John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach® and other modalities. Her treatments facilitate long lasting changes to the client’s soft tissue health and overall well-being.
Because each person has unique responses to massage therapy and therapeutic bodywork, Jenny relies on your honest feedback and her intuition to create a customized session. This partnership supports your body’s innate ability to heal itself. Since lifestyle changes are often a part of the process of whole body healing, she might suggest self-care resources, encouraging clients to explore new forms of movement, including avenues for strengthening and stretching.
When she’s not busy with clients, attending a continuing education seminar, going on adventures with her daughter, or spending quality time with family, friends and her two dogs, Jenny enjoys exploring new workouts and movement, testing the limits of her Meniere’s Disease symptoms. She has been practicing yoga since 1999. Other loves include Pilates, barre, dance cardio, and strength training with weights. Art has been a long time passion. She’s currently enjoying abstract painting with acrylics.
